The late historian and artist, Claire K. Tholl, created a series of incredibly well-researched, hand-drawn maps of Bergen County towns, which have been reproduced and bound together for the first time by the Upper Saddle River Historical Society. The book includes 16 maps, which unfold to 22 x 17 inches. The folded book measures 11 x 17 inches.

Claire was trustee emeritus of the Bergen County Historical Society and one of the leaders in the Bergen County Historic Sites Survey, done in 1984. She researched, visited and photographed each property and the maps are a culmination of hundreds of hours of work and provide a valuable document of Upper Saddle River’s history.
