In 2010,
the Hopper-Goetschius museum is getting a much needed restoration. A number of major exterior improvements are now scheduled.  Expert carpentry repairs will include the replacement of the front porch deck and the beaded ceiling.  The entire Hopper-Goetschius house exterior will be further repaired in places, prepared for a coat of paint and then, completely painted - shutters, trim and all. 


A funding goal of $10,000 is needed to cover the restoration efforts in 2010.

The Upper Saddle River Historical Society is supported exclusively by the generosity of the local community; no tax dollars are provided to us.  The Society was organized in 1977 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit to collect, preserve, and distribute the history of the Upper Saddle  River area.  The Society manages and restores the Museum and grounds, in addition to hosting a number of community events throughout the year.    Your donation will help preserve the Museum as a showcase for many fine antiques and historical memorabilia.
